gotta share
So.... I have this character flaw. I have this huge need to laugh when people hurt themselves. Tonight Blake was putting up a new ceiling fan in our family room. He sent me out to the garage to get him a screw driver. While I was out there, I heard a loud crash from inside. I ran in to find the step stool turned over, our coffee table turned over and Blake flat on his back squished between the coffee table and the big chair with his legs partially up in the air and a look of total shock on his face. I couldn't even ask him if he was ok. I just turned around and ran back out to the garage until I could control myself. I went back into the house, but I couldn't look at him or talk to him because I knew I would burst out laughing. I hope I never forget what he looked like laying there like that - anytime I need a good laugh, I'm going to drag that one out of the back of my mind. He has a huge bruise on his leg and a nasty looking scrape on his arm. Bless his heart. I was finally able to tell him a couple of minutes ago that I was sorry that he hurt himself and he said, "No, you aren't. You think its funny."

Wow, that is pretty funny, but kind of mean, too. I never knew this about you. At least you didn't laugh in his face, though. I've seen people do that and it's so mean. I guess I can forgive your flaw, but I'm not sure Blake will.
That sounds really funny!! I laugh at people, too. The Other day my Love almost twisted his ankle falling down the last two stairs and I laughed so hard I almost peed myself. :)
I can totally relate. One of my HS students who's kind of a goofball leaned back in his seat that he forgot didn't have a side and boom! I thought he was playing. Of course I laughed first. Then I checked on him. But I laughed first. Sigh.
BTW, KatieBug sent me. =)

OMGosh!!! I'm the SAME way! It's a curse, really. I hate that I do that, but seriously, I have to laugh every time someone hurts themselves. It infuriates my hubby, and embarasses my kids. Although, I will say that I don't laugh if I think they are seriously hurt or if there's blood involved. But if I know they must be okay, I laugh. Especially if it's a fall or trip or something.
My dad tells me it must be some kind of nervous laughter or stress mechanism. I laugh at other inappropriate times, too. Like funerals. Really, it's a curse.
ANYWAY, welcome to blogland!:)
You must have gotten that from your Mother and Grandmother. They always laugh every time I hit my head or fall.
OH MY LORD- I am not alone!!I am the same way:P
My poor family must think i am so twisted!
I remeber in HS when i was a cheerleader we would be working on stunting and if someone got dropped i would try SO hard not to giggle, but i really couldn't help it! The other girls would be SO furious with me and i'd be protesting- "No, i really DON"T think it's funny, I just can't help laughing!"
but somehow...they just thought i was sick!
